9:00-9:15 AM: Log into Zoom meeting
9:15-10:00 AM: GCA Board meeting and introduction of all attendees
This will be in substitution of the regular business meeting. All members are encouraged to participate. Only Board members can vote on board specific items. Members can vote on general organization items (Treasurer's Report, Member Meeting Minutes from May)
10:00-11:30 AM: Presentation by Sally Hurme (*see bio below) with the NGA, speaking on NGA Revised Standards of Practice
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Questions/discussion with Sally Hurme

* Sally Hurme's bio:
Sally Balch Hurme, a Virginia elder law attorney, has led the national conversation on many of the legal issues of concern to older persons, their families, and their caregivers. Whether the issue is how to make decisions for others or plan for what comes next, she has focused on explaining the law so everyone can understand it.
Her broad experience includes working with AARP for 23 years, teaching elder law at George Washington University Law School, and lecturing with Great Courses on how to get your legal house in order. Hurme is the best-selling author of five books in the award-winning ABA/AARP Checklist series: Checklist for My Family, Checklist for Family Caregivers, Checklist for Family Survivors, Wise Moves, and Get the Most Out of Retirement.
She has served multiple terms on the boards of the National Guardianship Association and the Center for Guardianship Certification. She was the co-lead of the NGA team that updated the NGA Standards of Practice and the co-chair of the National Guardianship Network's task force that developed the model Bill of Rights for Adults with a Guardian. 
Hurme, received her B.A. from Newcomb College, Tulane University and her J.D. cum laude from Washington College of Law, American University. She resides in Bridgewater, Virginia, with her husband, four cats and two dogs.
