You are invited to submit a workshop proposal for the 2017 Aging Well Conference being held at the University of Portland, Buckley Center, on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 9 am to 4 pm.

This conference will bring together people from around the Portland metro region interested in active and healthy aging, and in building a community for all ages. It is an event coordinated by the Age-Friendly Portland and Multnomah County initiative that works to build an age-friendly community through research, advocacy, and outreach.

The 2017 conference theme is “resilience” – resilience of the individual and our communities. Resilience refers to the ability of an individual or a community to respond to, withstand, and bounce back from adversity. It is a skill that can be learned, and it is critical in building age-friendly and sustainable community planning or organizing.
